Nintendo pulled the ‘Nintendo Switch 2’ from Amazon’s platform, but ONLY in the United States.
Bloomberg reported that this came about because of a disagreement over unauthorized sales.
Apparently, ‘enterprising sellers’ in Southeast Asia were buying the Nintendo Switch 2 in bulk and exporting them to the U.S., where U.S. Sellers were listing them on Amazon, undercutting Nintendo’s advertised price.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the biggest game console launch of all time.
A Nintendo spokeperson said:
‘There is no such fact. We do not disclose details of negotiations or contracts with retailers.’ and did not elaborate further.
Amazon said:
‘the claims made by Bloomberg regarding our relationship with Nintendo are inaccurate’ but gave no further details, and went on to say: ‘Amazon is pleased to offer Nintendo products directly to our customers as part of our commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience with the widest selection possible.’
As of 11:48 am, Central Standard Time, on June 30, 2025, if you go to Amazon and search for ‘Nintendo Switch 2’ you won’t find any listed.
However, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop do have the Nintendo Switch 2 on sale.
As an affiliate marketer, you don’t have to deal with such things.
All you need to do is to be an affiliate with Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or any other retailer that is selling the item, and then share your affiliate link to this product on your blog, twitter, or YouTube account, or any other social platform, and if somebody buys off your link, BOOM, you get paid.
If you were an affiliate with Amazon and you read this story, all you need to do is switch your affiliate link to any other affiliated store.
I love this stuff.
