Amazon launched its Delivery Service Partner Program in 2018, creating a new opportunity for anyone who wanted to own their own delivery service company.
FedEx and UPS were none too happy about this, but really, what could they do?

There were hundreds of companies across America that took advantage of the Amazon Delivery Service Partner Program, including individual private citizens, who had $10,000 to invest in upfront costs, to start as an Independent Delivery Driver.
It truly was a small investment when you consider that most franchise opportunities can cost upwards of $100,000 just to start.
The new Delivery Service Partner Program was to save Amazon a huge amount of money by offering this business opportunity… (so they thought).
Unfortunately, Amazon decided to cancel hundreds of Delivery Service Partner contracts across the USA, as it is their right to do so.

Not good at all for the Independent Delivery Driver.
The lesson: when you ‘partner’ with another business entity, and then, you rely on and depend on the ‘other business entity’ to provide you with a constant flow of business so that your business can not only survive but succeed, then you are essentially putting all your eggs in one basket.
You just cannot depend on this kind of an arrangement to survive as a business.
This type of arrangement does not allow for you, as the business-owner, to be in any way flexible to make independent decisions to help the business grow.
