Affiliate Marketing virtually offers you a business opportunity with ‘zero-start-up-costs’, aside from a laptop and an internet connection, which, if you are reading this, you should already have.

Best of all, Affiliate Marketing, if done correctly, with the appropriate amount of evergreen content and employing effective Search Engine Optimization Strategies (SEO), and given the right amount of time, your content-targeted-blog or website may be able to ‘run on it’s own’ and generate revenue without you having to write any new content.
Yes, Affiliate Marketing is a very compelling business opportunity when you consider the potential for generating LOTS OF PASSIVE INCOME!
However, the last thing that I wish to do, is to give anyone the impression that affiliate marketing will have you making enough money to pay the mortgage by the end of the month.
NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
No one starts their first day at work and expects that by the end of the day for everyone to be their best friend and to get invited to attend board meetings.
There are many good things in business, and most good things in business do take some time to develop.
Give yourself a reasonable amount of time to learn and understand key marketing concepts and strategies, and then, the time to put those marketing strategies into action, and then watch what works.
When you see a marketing strategy that is working… do more of that strategy, when you see something that is not working, make the appropriate adjustments until it does work or you decide to dump it.
If you consistently follow certain marketing strategies that many successful affiliate marketers deploy, the potential for you to replace your yearly salary within one or two years is quite possible.
This is why I always say to START RIGHT NOW because it does take time to gain exposure, generate traffic, and earn some income.
Affiliate Marketing is NOT a Get-Rich-Quick-By-Friday business opportunity. In fact, Get-Rich-Quick opportunities do not exist.
Anyone who desires to be financially successful through affiliate marketing, or with any other online opportunity, is going to be required to do some ‘real’ work, such as:
- keyword research
- search engine optimization (SEO)
- create a blog/website/online store
- write engaging content
- write more engaging content
- produce videos
- stay active on social media
- select the right product or service
- promote the heck out of that product or service
- and then… do it all over again for the next product or service
Of course, this is not an all inclusive list, there is a bit more to it, but it’s like with anything else, once you do it a few times it becomes easier as you move along.
If you are doing this right, you will begin to discover that you are developing your skills and becoming an expert in selecting in-demand products and services and the process of Affiliate Marketing will become easier as you get along.
All of your efforts could produce some very good income, and eventually, your affiliate business could be ‘hands-off’ as your blog or website will naturally attract motivated buyers and produce revenue while you move on and enjoy your life.
Affiliate Marketing is absolutely worth the effort, but I will be honest here… there are many people who start out with affiliate marketing, or any other online opportunity, and do not stick with it long enough to begin to see positive results.
Unfortunately, many people are not consistent and do not do the proper product and keyword research, some people do not promote nearly enough, and yet others end up choosing unpopular products and/or services to promote BECAUSE they did not do the proper research, and quite frankly, many become impatient and discouraged with the process and simply give up.
Personally, I find this to be quite sad, but I also do realize that this is just the simple reality of life as every person is different.
However, I further realize, that because of this ‘sad reality’, this only leaves plenty of opportunity for those of us who do decide to stick around.
